Sunday 😊

I really enjoy going out on weekends. Not only that it makes me feel happy but it tends to keep me feel relaxed. This Sunday is special because its Mother’s Day. Spending some nice time with mom and sis. We went to church, had our late lunch, and went strolling inside the mall. Simple things but when done with the people you love, everything seems extraordinary.

For the past few days, I’ve been checking some make-up how to videos because I wanted to know what good products to use and what will work for my skin.
I turn to YouTube videos of Jaclyn Hill because she has informative videos. She’s great actually.
Well, I have two products that are running out already and I want to try different brands to replace them with.
First, my eye liner. I have really small eyes and I want them to look bigger all the time. To create that illusion, I always wear an eye liner. I’m a big fan of liquid eye liners since I was in college. It doesn’t come off easily like the regular pencil liners I’ve tried. I cannot leave home without it because I feel naked. It’s like my comfort zone. I have tried different brands of liquid liners but Revlon’s ColorStay Liquid Liner became my personal favorite.
Since my liner is running out, I’ve decided to try a different type - gel liner. I was hesitant at first because I’ve never tried it and I fear that it might be messy. Since I’ve seen Jaclyn Hill use a gel liner in her videos, I’ve decided to give it a shot (I can always go back to a liquid liner if it doesn’t work well for me). For my first attempt, I got me a Maybelline New Lasting Drama Gel Liner. It’s smudge-proof, waterproof, and lasts up to 36 hours. I drew a line in my hand and tried smudging it but it sat still. Great! Next test, I tried it in my sister’s eye lid and it looked good on her. It has the same effect as a liquid eye liner and its even blacker which is amazing. Can’t wait to do a whole day test run. ;)
Second product, concealer. There are so many options to choose from - cream, gel, stick, liquid. I usually use the concealer around the eye area and to cover some redness around the nose and chin. I like using a not too creamy concealer under my eyes so it won’t look cakey. I like using the creamy ones or stick concealers around the nose though because I like to cover the redness. By the end of the day, I make sure to cleanse my face well so that I won’t get breakouts and the creamy products won’t clog my pores.
I went to the drugstore today to replenish my toiletries and I came across this brand, L.A. Girl. I tested their PRO.conceal High Definition Concealer in Pure Beige and it blended well with my skin. I decided to buy it and give it a try. Of course, products work differently in different skins so I’m not gonna go lecture like a pro.

During Holy Week, there are traditions that we follow like bisita iglesia, watching of the sinakulo, stations of the cross, and prusisyon. These are just a few practices and sacrifices that we make during the Holy Week to show our respects to God. These also remind us of how Jesus suffered in the cross for all of us.
